Charles Holdefer
Charles Holdefer is the Brussels-based author of six novels, most recently Don’t Look at Me (2022). His collections of short fiction include Ivan the Terrible Goes on a Family Picnic (2024). His novel The Contractor (2012) was an American Booksellers Association “Book Sense Pick” and was translated into several languages. His short fiction has won a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in the New England Review, North American Review, Chicago Quarterly Review, and elsewhere.
